That’s the exact challenge Happyinc. embraced in our collaboration with Bank Indonesia – North Sumatra, with the mission to promote QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) through a campaign that’s informative, inclusive, and fun.
A Friendly Face for Digital Finance
Enter Kris & Ipay—two cheerful, animated characters designed to simplify the concept of QRIS and show how easy it is to use for transactions, anytime and anywhere. Instead of relying on traditional explainer videos, we brought these characters to life through a vibrant animated series packed with color, humor, and real-world scenarios.
Their adventures walk viewers through common everyday situations: buying food, shopping at local markets, or even attending school events—all while using QRIS. The goal? Show people that digital payments aren't just for tech-savvy users, but for everyone.
Making It Relatable and Local
Every detail in the animation—from the background scenes to the character dialogue—was carefully crafted to reflect local culture and daily life in North Sumatra. This wasn’t just about creating an informative video; it was about building trust and connection with the audience. We wanted people to see themselves in Kris & Ipay, and feel like QRIS is something made for them.
